Eckhart Tolle's Zen Master Cat And My Redbubble Journey

Many years ago I started a Redbubble shop. It has never paid me well, even as a side gig, but I kept at it in hopes that it would blossom at some point in the future. I don't give up easily. It was always so difficult for me because to do well on any print-on-demand platform you either need to have a name worth searching or searchable content, and I never really had either. At this point I think perhaps business minded people would do best in POD primarily because they don't get hung up on the, you know, design. They think in terms of volume and they think in terms of SEO (Search Engine Optimization). Again, not something I can do. Don't get me wrong, I've tried to learn better SEO, tried to learn what sells and find niches (and I did manage to find one that worked a little), I've put my all into learning and growing, but when it's all said and done I had too much of a desire to make things that took too long and no ability to understand what people really wanted. Month to month my average earnings are... 20 - 30 dollars. Yeah, not worth it. But, at this point I keep working and playing just because. I guess I'm a masochist.

However, occasionally I stumbled into something - one thing I stumbled into was a strange idea birthed from a quote I read by Mr Eckhart Tolle, "I have lived with several Zen Masters, all of them cats." I thought it would be funny to put Eckhart Tolle's face on a cat... and so I did. I slapped it up on my Redbubble shop as a practice in consistently uploading work so I can say I didn't just abandon yet another attempt at making money, rather than actually thinking it would sell.

Well, It hasn't made me a millionaire but I am astounded by the amount of people that have purchased this not quite expertly done photoshop of Eckhart's face on a house cat. Some of them Redbubble peeps love that strangeness. With the advent of AI Art and my playing around more with it I also decided to put this Zen Master cat in some fun locations a few months ago and so far I have actually made a sale with one of those designs as well. All in good fun. I hope you enjoy this Eckcat and remember to meditate. I always love it when my weird Redbubble stuff sells :).
